A little background
Well Care Community Health is a health center located in downtown Richmond, Indiana. We are a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with a mission to provide care for the underserved members of our community and remove any barriers to receiving exceptional medical, dental, and behavioral health care.

Sliding Fee Scale
A huge benefit of Well Care’s status as an FQHC is the fact that we will not turn anyone away due to their financial situation. The sliding fee scale helps make healthcare services more affordable for patients with low incomes or who are uninsured or underinsured. The fees are based on the patient's income and family size, so those who cannot afford to pay the full cost of care can still receive the services they need.
Insurance Acceptance
Well Care also has a patient advocate who is available onsite to meet with patients to explore insurance options for coverage and will assist with the application process. We accept all insurance plans and will work to add additional plans as the need arises. Additionally, if you do not have insurance for medications, we can help determine if you qualify to receive your medications from various medication programs. Ask how we can help you qualify for free medications.
Spanish Interpretation
For patients whose primary language is Spanish, we have a certified medical interpreter on staff. No need to worry if you or your loved one will be able to communicate properly. Our interpreter will assist you with registration paperwork, obtaining eligibility services, and interpretation during visits.
Telehealth
We know that taking time off work, arranging travel assistance, or being fearful of venturing out during cold or flu season can make coming into the office for an appointment difficult for some. That’s why we offer Telehealth services to our patients whenever possible, allowing you to meet with your provider virtually. We also offer drive-up access and will bring an iPad out to your car in our parking lot to allow you to speak to your provider without coming inside the building.
Transportation Services
Well Care is dedicated to helping local residents get accessible health care, and this includes making sure you are able to make it to your appointment with us on time. For patients that qualify, bus vouchers are available or we also have a gas card program if you do not have access to public transportation.
Gas Cards: Owning your own vehicle can only take you so far if income is tight. Don't prolong the wait for your doctor visits because of a lack of funds. Well Care provides gas cards to patients that qualify. One of our goals is to enable local residents to be proactive about their health - helping you get to your appointment is just one way we fulfill it.
Bus Passes: Well Care provides passes for transportation with Rose View Transit. Our Health Center is located next to a bus stop, which means that you're most likely just a short bus ride away from our office — there's bound to be a route that will take you to our door!
